He needs 26 assists to overtake Baron Davis (6,025) for 40th place on the all-time assists list. According to The Golden State Warriors, “The first player in franchise history to reach 6,000 career regular-season assists” Curry is also on the verge of making NBA history, as he is just five points away from passing Hall of Famer Elgin Baylor (23,149) for 33rd place on the all-time scoring list. The ten-time NBA All-Star is having another amazing season, averaging 28.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game while shooting 46.3% from the field and 42.2% from three-point range in 51 games. He is still playing at an MVP level despite the fact that he will be 36 next month. With the win, the Warriors moved to 28-26 in 54 games, placing them as the tenth seed in the Western Conference. They are 7-1 in their previous eight games and will host the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night at the Chase Centre.
