Nikola Jokić’s triple-double helped the Denver Nuggets defeat the Golden State Warriors 119-103 on Sunday. Jokić’s performance of 32 points, 16 rebounds, 16 assists, and four steals helped him defeat Stephen Curry and the Warriors, who had been on a roll previously. Denver’s defence was effective against Curry, restricting him to 20 points on a shaky 6-of-19 shooting. Jamal Murray, Jokić’s co-star, had a monster night, scoring 27 points and hitting a dagger late in the fourth quarter to put the Nuggets up large. Jokić’s stats were impressive, but fans have become accustomed to them this season. With his figures, he became the first NBA player to have 14+ rebounds and 14+ assists in three consecutive games. It’s unlikely that Jokić will accomplish that achievement in the near future. Jokić, a two-time MVP, continues to impress fans with his consistent performances.
