Nikola Jokić’s daughter is his biggest supporter.
This season, the Denver Nuggets center has made headlines for breaking NBA records, but it’s his little girl who has taken the attention. 
The Serbian basketball star has a one-year-old daughter named Ognjena with his wife Natalija, who is also from Sombor, Serbia.
Nikola and Natalija are high school sweethearts who have been together since they were seventeen. They married in their hometown in October 2020, and their daughter was born a year after that.
Though the couple has been extremely discreet about their family life, they have shared adorable photos of their newborn girl since her birth. In addition to Natalija’s Instagram photos, Ognjena attended several of her father’s games.
Most recently, she supported her father as his team defeated the Miami Heat to win the NBA Championship.

She made her Instagram debut in May 2022.
Natalija revealed the first photo of her daughter, Ognjena, on May 27, a few months after she announced her birth. Ognjena was photographed wearing a pink dress as she caressed Nikola’s MVP trophy.
Her name means “fiery”.
Ognjena’s name honours Nikola and Natalija’s ancestry. Her name translates to “fiery” in Serbian.
She has backed her father in many games. 
ince her Instagram debut in May 2022, Ognjena has attended a number of her father’s games. In March 2023, Natalija posted a photo on Instagram showing Ognjena holding Nikola’s game ball from his 100th triple-double.
Following a game in May 2023, Bleacher Report obtained a beautiful video of Ognjena pointing to her ring finger, possibly echoing her father’s pursuit of his first league championship. In the video, he makes the same cute move. 
“I think all of us who have a wife and children should be happy with the people we have around us,” Nikola told Serbia’s Arena TV about having his family’s support at games. “When you have a normal life, it lifts you up and only helps you.”
She attended the 2023 NBA Championship.
On June 12, 2023, Ognjena stood by her father’s side as the Denver Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat to win the NBA Championship. He even took his daughter to the floor when he received the Bill Russell Finals MVP Trophy.
