Stephen Curry’s family is expecting a new arrival in the coming months.
Curry’s wife, Ayesha, confirmed during an interview with Brianne Garrett of Sweet July magazine that the couple is expecting their fourth child. They already have two daughters, Riley, 11, and Ryan, eight, and one son, Canon, five.
Ayesha told Garrett that she and Steph “thought we were done” having children after Canon was born, but the couple realised last year that “somebody was missing.”
“For me, the choice sprang from constantly glancing around and feeling as if someone was missing. I’d pack the car and realise, ‘Oh, I forgot stuff.’ “But no one was forgotten,” Ayesha remarked. “It began to turn my brain a little. Perhaps someone was missing. So we embarked on this trip, confident that it would complete our family.
Ayesha and Steph lead busy lives, yet they always make time for their family.
Steph even disclosed in an October interview with People magazine that he had exposed all three of his children to a variety of sports. However, he stated that he does not want to put them under any strain, therefore the process has been sluggish.
“We’re all doing backyard sports right now,” Steph explained. “Not too organized. Especially for Canon, who is only five. So we have plenty of time. He’s an all-around sports enthusiast. But his attention span is the same as a 5-year-old’s.”
He went on to say, “It’s more about developing their confidence and ability to find joy in all they do. I believe it is a large part of today’s youth, not feeling pressured to be successful or keep up with their peers.
Steph is now in the midst of a difficult season with the Golden State Warriors, who are 10th in the Western Conference with a 31-27 record. The squad is battling to get into the playoffs, but it’s been a difficult battle.
Despite his problems, Steph continues to play well, averaging 27.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in 55 games while shooting 45.5 percent from the floor and 41.1 percent from outside the arc.
If the Warriors make the playoffs for the third consecutive season, Steph will play a significant role.
