Even though Luka Doncic recorded his seventh triple-double of 2024, the Dallas Mavericks were unable to win. Doncic is still pushing the envelope.

 

Despite another fantastic performance from the Slovenian star, the Mavs were unable to overcome the Embiid-less Philadelphia 76ers at the American Airlines Centre, falling short 116-120 and trailed the whole game from the late first quarter until the very end.

After playing for more than 40 minutes, Luka concluded the game with 38 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists on 14–27 field goals. Nonetheless, the visitors won out.

After him came 28 points from Kyrie Irving, 21 from Derrick Jones, and 13 from PJ Washington. The remaining players totaled 16 points.

Leading Philadelphia with 28 points, Tobias Harris was followed by Tyrese Maxey with 24, and Kelly Oubre, who also scored 20+, with 21.

Buddy Hield scored 11 points, Paul Reed added 13, and the Sixers shot nearly flawlessly (29/31) from the free-throw line.

Dallas Mavericks are now ninth in the Western Conference standings after dropping four of their last five games to drop to 34-27. Philadelphia, on the other hand, is now sixth in the East after improving to 35-25.
