Although the Denver Nuggets are currently the greatest club in the NBA, the Boston Celtics have the league’s best record. Nikola Jokic praises the Celtics solely for this reason.
After the Nuggets trounced the Celtics on Thursday night, Nikola Jokic discussed his prospective NBA Finals opponent.
“They are a really good team,” Jokic remarked. “They virtually have a response for everything, including matchups, defense, and offense. They’re a well-built team, and they’re playing really well. That’s why they’re currently the best team in the NBA. It’s quite difficult to play against their team. They’re long and tall. They are really good defenders. They have some pretty smart players. It’s a fantastic crew.”
For as good as the Boston Celtics are, the Denver Nuggets still have a 2-0 regular season sweep over them. If the NBA Finals began today, the Denver Nuggets would probably be the betting favorites over the Boston Celtics, regardless of how outstanding their regular season record is.
No one can deny that the Boston Celtics are a dominant force this season. They’ve consistently defeated opponents and hold the league’s best record for a reason. Despite this, they have yet to figure out how to win games when they don’t make threes, which gives Denver an advantage.
