Steph Curry is cleared to begin on-court exercises with the Warriors following ankle sprain

Steph Curry, a two-time NBA MVP, shared a post on his Instagram story before the Warriors faced the Spurs.

According to The Golden State Warriors, “Stephen Curry, who sprained his right ankle during last Thursday’s game, has been cleared to resume on-court workouts in the Bay Area and is expected to join the team for practice in Los Angeles on Friday.” 

“He will be evaluated again after Friday’s practice.”

The Golden State Warriors took on the San Antonio Spurs in Texas on Monday evening.

They were without their greatest player (Steph Curry) for the second consecutive game, yet they still won 112-102.

Curry shared an optimistic post on his Instagram story prior to the game. 

The two-time MVP shared a photograph of his foot in an ice bucket. 

Curry captioned the shot, “We working….”

On March 9, the Warriors provided an update on Curry. 

According to The Golden State Warriors on March 9: “Stephen Curry had an MRI after leaving Thursday’s game against the Bulls, which revealed a sprained right ankle.” 

Curry will not play tonight against the Spurs and will be evaluated again on Tuesday.Image

Curry will be 36 on Thursday, yet he still one of the NBA’s top ten players. 

In 59 games, he is averaging 26.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.9 assists, while shooting 44.9% from the field and 40.7% from three. 

The Warriors are the tenth seed in the Western Conference, with a 34-30 record after 64 games.  

They are 6-4 in their previous 10 games and will face the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday evening in Texas.
