Jamal Murray has ambitious ambitions for the Denver Nuggets that go beyond merely winning titles. That’s definitely awful news for the rest of the NBA.
In a recent interview, Murray expressed his goal to be the best player in the NBA, but he’ll be content with finishing second to Nikola Jokic.
Jamal Murray Has Huge Ambitions With The Denver Nuggets
Murray has yet to make the All-Star team or win an individual award, but he has clearly established himself as a true NBA superstar.
Murray could care less about his lack of awards. He understands that what fans think of him is irrelevant since he is aware that his NBA peers respect and fear him.
Murray is likewise full of self-confidence, claiming to be one of the league’s best players right now.
“Of course,” Murray responded when asked if he believes he is one of the top players today despite not being an All-Star, according to FOX Sports. He then stated his ambition, emphasizing: “And I strive to be the greatest.” I aspire to be the best player ever. Obviously, if you don’t aim high, you will never get there. I believe Jokic is the best player right now. And I strive to be a close second.
Murray’s words will undoubtedly delight Nuggets supporters. While it is difficult to exceed Jokic and the other NBA superstars, the fact that he is not resting despite his success demonstrates his outstanding mindset.
Murray is also only 27 years old, so he has lots of time to move up the NBA’s elite rankings. And, of course, the Nuggets wouldn’t mind having the two best players in the NBA today.
