‘He’s that good’ – Mad Dog Russo says Nikola Jokic is the greatest center over Shaquille O’Neal

It is difficult to argue against Shaquille O’Neal as the greatest center to ever play in the NBA. Shaq is frequently referred to as the league’s most dominant player, even while competing against NBA legends such as Wilt Chamberlain. However, sports experts such as Mad Dog Russo are attempting to change the narrative by introducing Nikola Jokic into the picture.

Mad Dog Russo says Nikola Jokic is the greatest center over Shaquille O

In an interview with Brian Windhorst, the NBA analyst for First Take stated that Nikola Jokic is the best center in the league. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, David Robinson, Shaquille O’Neal, and Hakeem Olajuwon are some of the finest centers on this list.

However, Chris Russo did not hesitate to rank Jokic higher than any of the other names mentioned above. He also said Jokic was better than Shaquille O’Neal.

“Jokic could be the best center in NBA history. He’s very good. He is better than Shaq. I’ll tell you that right now. “Better than Shaq,” stated Russo.

His views did raise eyebrows on the show, and in some respects, they make sense. In his prime, Shaq was an unstoppable force and probably the league’s most feared player. He won four NBA championships and three NBA Finals MVPs. He was named to the All-NBA Team 14 times and the All-NBA Defensive Team three times during his career.

To be fair to Jokic, he has only played nine seasons in the league, whereas Shaq has 19. He is a one-time NBA champion and the NBA Finals MVP. Jokic has also won the league MVP award twice, whilst Shaq has only one. The Serbian NBA player has made the All-NBA team five times in his career.

Furthermore, Jokic’s style of play is the most unique and amazing aspect of his game. He is perhaps the league’s best passer, not only at his position, but overall.

Jokic’s game is more versatile than Shaq’s. However, arguing against Shaquille O’Neal remains a significant leap.

Shaquille O’Neal does not want Mad Dog. Russo will chat about basketball.Russo and Shaquille O’Neal have recently made headlines, particularly after commenting about one other in the media. In response to Shaq’s jersey being retired by the Orlando Magic, Russo stated that the 2000 MVP did not have a career in Orlando deserving of jersey retirement.

A few days later, during an episode of his Big Podcast, Shaquille O’Neal shared a meal with former NFL star Cam Newton. During the broadcast, Shaq stated that people like Russo do not have “G-14” requirements to speak about sports, a word he borrowed from the film ‘Rush Hour’.

“If you’re great, like Shaq and Cam, we have G14 classification,” O’Neal told the crowd. “Because we’ve been there and done that at high levels, from high school to college and the pros,” he said.”Now, a lot of dudes that don’t have a G-14 classification, like Mad Dog, what do you know about quarterbacking? So shut up, Mad Dog. Stick with conventional media. “When it comes to sports, you don’t know what you’re talking about; I do,” said the LA Lakers legend.

Previously, Russo rated Shaquille O’Neal as the fifth-best center in NBA history. He rated the Los Angeles Lakers icon below Kareem, Moses Malone, Wilt Chamberlain, and Hakeem Olajuwon. This is one of the reasons Shaq may have taken it personally.
