D’Angelo Russell’s stellar performance against the Atlanta Hawks has placed him at the top of the Los Angeles Lakers single-season three-pointers list.

After a quiet and unremarkable first half, D’Angelo Russell heated up in the second, third, and fourth quarters. The 1996-born shooter nailed two three-pointers every 12 minutes, finishing the game with a 6-10 shooting from beyond the arc, totaling 25 points and ten assists in 30 minutes.

D’Lo’s performance led the Los Angeles Lakers to a victory over the Atlanta Hawks and propelled Russell to the top of the team’s single-season three-pointers made list.

With six three-pointers against the Atlanta Hawks on March 19th, D’Angelo Russell has made 183 successful long-range shots this season.

He surpassed the legendary Kobe Bryant (180 threes in 80 games, 2005-06 season) and shares the top spot with the legendary Nick Van Exel (183 threes in 80 games, 1994-95 season).

Unlike Kobe Bryant or Van Exel, who needed 80 games to reach 180 and 183 successful three-pointers, respectively, D’Lo achieved 183 long-range shots in just 64 games.

The Los Angeles Lakers have 13 regular-season games remaining, so it is almost certain that D’Angelo Russell will soon hold the sole record for most three-pointers made in the Lakers’ franchise history.

D’Angelo Russell’s back-to-back three-pointers within 30 seconds, including a buzzer-beаter at the end of the third quarter, ignited the Lakers’ fans.

D’Angelo Russell’s record-tying three-pointers for the Los Angeles Lakers were the biggest highlights in their 136-105 victory over the Atlanta Hawks. The entire Lakers’ starting lineup scored in double digits, including the trio of Russell, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis, who all scored over 22 points.

As a team, the Lakers made 15 three-pointers and recorded an impressive 39 assists, marking the second-highest assist tally of the season (behind 41 assists in a 133-112 victory over the Charlotte Hornets).

This result moves the Los Angeles Lakers back to the 9th position in the Western Conference standings with a total record of 37-32, surpassing the Golden State Warriors (35-32) after Stephen Curry and his teammates suffered a defeat against the New York Knicks on the same day.
