Trayce Jackson-Davis’ remarkable rookie season continued Monday night. The former Indiana great made Golden State Warriors history by coming off the bench.
Jackson-Davis shot a perfect 9-for-9 from the floor in Monday’s 119-112 loss to the New York Knicks. He finished the game with 19 points, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2 assists.
According to Golden State’s social media pages, Jackson-Davis became the first Warriors rookie in the shot clock era to go 9-of-9 “or better” from the field in a single game.
Jackson-Davis has scored in double figures in each of his previous five games for the Warriors. In a 112-102 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on March 11, the former Hoosier scored 13 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and assisted five times.
During the game, the rookie also posted up NBA phenom Victor Wembanyama with a one-handed dunk. Jackson-Davis went viral following that outstanding performance.
Jackson-Davis also had a tremendous block on superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo against the Milwaukee Bucks on March 6.
In his first NBA season, Jackson-Davis averages 7.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and one block per game. He’s also been tremendously efficient, shooting at a 72% clip this year.
