In the sphere of NBA greatness, a new force to be reckoned with has emerged: Nikola Jokic, the Serbian big man who has been enthralling crowds and rewriting records. Over the last two seasons, he has not only converted skeptics into believers but has also drawn parallels to the game’s legends.

During a recent episode of KG Certified, basketball legend Kevin Garnett compared Jokic’s dominance to that of Hall of Famer Wilt Chamberlain. Garnett went so far as to say that Jokic’s impact on the court exceeds that of Chamberlain, a sentiment shared by others in the basketball community.

“What he’s doing in our league is tearing the records apart,” Garnett said. “He’s destroying records left and right. The man has recorded a triple-double against every team in the league. Joker is now performing at a higher level than Wilt Chamberlain. People are even contemplating him instead of Shaq. It is mind-blowing.”

Garnett’s commendation, however, does not stand alone. Just this week, Chris “Mad Dog” Russo openly declared Jokic greater to Shaquille O’Neal. Despite appreciating Jokic’s greatness, Garnett did not elevate him above Shaq’s towering legacy.

“Don’t get it twisted, y’all,” Garnett urged. “I’m not going to choose Joker over Shaq anytime soon. I certainly respect Nikola. His game is unique and unlike anything we have seen before. But Shaquille? Shaq wasn’t shooting threes. Without a question, Joker is redefining the game.

What makes Jokic’s rise even more remarkable is his young age: he is only 30 years old and is already creating ripples in the NBA. With the pinnacle of his career still ahead of him, it’s impossible to predict what new heights Jokic will reach or what new benchmarks he’ll break.
