Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has opened up about his first meeting with Taylor Swift on New Year’s Eve, claiming he was astonished by the popstar despite not being a big fan before!
Tight end Travis Kelce has been seeing one of the world’s most famous ladies since September, and despite her attendance at numerous games in 2023, many of the team members just met her on the final day of the year.
Butker, the team’s kicker, was among the group on December 31, and he has now opened out about how he met the ‘Bad Blood’ vocalist.
‘I wouldn’t call myself a Swiftie,’ Butker opened his interview with EWTN News in Depth. ‘She was extremely modest and nice.’
Incredibly, he went on to say that she not only knew a lot about him but also praised his on-field abilities.
‘She thinks it’s incredible that I can kick the ball so far through the uprights,’ he joked.
I was a little worried about meeting Taylor Swift… I mean, it’s Taylor Swift,” he explained. ‘So maybe I am a Swiftie since I was frightened to meet her.
‘But it was a wonderful experience, and I can’t say enough positive things about her… I hope they marry and have a family!’
Swift and Kelce’s whirlwind romance has grown stronger in the offseason, and the couple is presently spending time on the west coast in the popstar’s $25 million Beverly Hills property.
According to Page Six, the couple dined at Bird Streets Club in Los Angeles over the weekend, surprise another star, Disney CEO Bob Iger.
Kelce recently partied with Oscar winner Cord Jefferson and social media personality Tommy Alter.
According to reports, the multi-millionaire businessman was ‘fawning over’ the couple until he discovered that the 14-time Grammy winner and three-time Super Bowl champion were dining at the same restaurant. According to a source on the scene, Iger was dining with his wife, Willow Bay, when Swift and Kelce entered the famous hotspot.‘Bob sprang up from his seat the moment [Taylor] walked in,’ the person said.The private club has hosted celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothee Chalamet, and Bruno Mars.
