The Dallas Mavericks raised $1.8 million for the Mavs Foundation during their ninth annual Mavs Ball. The Mavs Ball is a top fundraising event hosted yearly by the Mavs organization to honor the grantees and charity work of the Dallas Mavericks during the season.
Over the last 27 years, the Mavs Foundation has awarded grants totaling more than $10 million to charitable organizations assisting women, children, and families in need. In addition to donations, the Mavs Foundation has created 56 safe Learn & Play spaces around North Texas, including 31 basketball courts and 25 Reading & Learning Centers. These areas are intended to promote healthy living and create a safe environment for children and residents, as well as to increase learning opportunities and access to technology to support youth education programs, teen and adult job-skills training, and other vital activities. The clinic will be presented by Mavs Academy Coaches on the Mavs Practice Court and will feature a unique appearance by Kyrie Irving, autographed jerseys, Kai 1 shoes, and accessories for each participant.
