“Won a championship before his dad”: Basketball fans adore Jayson Tatum’s son Duece’s Kobe Bryant-inspired photo.

Jayson Tatum’s kid Deuce caused quite a stir on social media after his famous father took to Instagram to share a photo of him posing with a trophy, much like the late Kobe Bryant did following the 2001 NBA Finals.

Bryant sat with a sorrowful expression on his face, cradling the Larry O’Brien, and Deuce reproduced the image in a black SLAM sweatshirt. The Boston Celtics forward shared the photo on Instagram, and people immediately shared their comments.

He captioned the post:

“I want him to remember me as a competitor”: Jayson Tatum on being a great father to kid Deuce

Jayson Tatum has been a force for the Boston Celtics since he first stepped onto the court, and his son is a big part of the reason for his success.

In an earlier interview with People, he stated that he wanted Deuce to view him as a competition. Some fans believed Jayson Tatum's son would be the next superstar

“On the court [I want Deuce to remember me as] … a competitor, somebody that just always wanted to win,” Jayson Tatum was quoted as saying. “Every time he comes to the game, he sees how I give my all and do all in my ability to help us win. Because, as he grows older, the most essential aspect of teamwork and sports is winning, and everything else will follow.”

This season, Tatum and the Celtics had the league’s best record and were the first team to make the playoffs. They have been at the top of the table for much of the season and will hope that their impressive run transfers into a championship, which they last won in 2008.

Only time will tell if Tatum and the Celtics can make a longer postseason run and emerge as champions at the end of June.
