Travis and Jason Kelce increased the excitement for the latest episode of their New Heights podcast by keeping fans wondering about this week’s’special guest’.
However, amid speculation that Taylor Swift may finally be making her debut on the show, Arnold Schwarzenegger was later revealed as the superstar addition to this week’s episode.
Travis’ Kansas City teammate Patrick Mahomes, former Eagle Beau Allen, and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid have all made guest appearances on the brothers’ podcast, which was nominated for a Webby Award on Tuesday.
They teased viewers about who might make a surprise appearance on this week’s show, which airs on Wednesday.
‘Any guesses for tomorrow’s guest?’ The New Heights official X account also uploaded a thinking-face and a side-eye emoji.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is the newest special guest on Travis and Jason Kelce’s “New Heights.”
The mysterious message sparked a frenzy among followers, with many speculating that it may be Travis’ pop superstar girlfriend Taylor.
Many speculated that it may be the 14-time Grammy Award winner, while others just wanted the popstar.
‘What about Taylor Swift? No??? “We can only hope,” one admirer cried, while another wrote, ‘We want Taylor!!!!’
‘I will only accept Taylor,’ one user wrote, while another said, ‘Taylor Swift or we riot.’
A handful of other users submitted GIFs of the Anti-Hero hitmaker, who will release a new album later this month, with one adding: ‘This gorgeous girl, perhaps?’
However, just as Swift’s appearance seemed more plausible than ever, a trailer for Wednesday’s broadcast revealed Schwarzenegger is the special guest in question.
‘Listen, my heart is pounding right now – because we have the King of Pumps in the building,’ Jason adds in the video. ‘The pioneer of pumping iron. Today’s guest is seven-time Mr Olympia, the former Governor of California.
‘He’s made an estimated $4 billion at the box office. You’ve seen him in movies like Commando, True Lies, Kindergarten Cop, and Jingle All The Way… it’s Arnold Schwarzenegger, the goddamn Terminator!
The movie legend then jokes, ‘Where’s the baby oil? You are supposed to be oiled up when you introduce me.
The singer appearing on the podcast would not have been out of the question, given that the Kelces appear to have taped the most recent episode in Los Angeles.
The brothers were photographed out for dinner in Los Angeles on Monday night, following their Easter Sunday celebration in Philadelphia.
Travis has been spending some time with his pop diva girlfriend Taylor at her $25 million Los Angeles mansion following the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory and the conclusion of the most recent leg of her international Eras tour.
Meanwhile, Jason has taken his initial steps toward retirement after announcing his resignation from the NFL at the start of last month.
However, it appears that both brothers were back to work when the Philadelphia Eagles veteran joined Travis on the West Coast for an apparent business dinner with manager Aaron Eanes on Monday.
Travis, known for his fashion sense and flare, dressed casually in a green sweater and gray tracksuit pants, complete with a white ‘Happy Gilmore’ cap.
Meanwhile, Jason cut an equally calm figure in his signature flip-flops (which he wore on game days rain or shine last season), a grey hoodie, and black tracksuit trousers.
Travis was also wearing the same clothes in the teaser photographs of the brothers filming the episode, implying that they filmed it while in the City of Angels on Monday.
The Kelces’ relatives and partners have already appeared on the show, including cameos from their mother Donna, father Ed, and Jason’s wife Kylie during the last two seasons.
Taylor has already appeared in 13 of Travis’s NFL games, including the Super Bowl.
Fans will have to wait until Wednesday morning to find out if the special guest will actually make an appearance.
The new episode will be released little over a week before their live New Heights performance at their alma mater, the University of Cincinnati, on April 11.
