With an impressive record of five Championships as a Lakers executive, West played a vital role in constructing the legendary Showtime dynasty. His tenure as a General Manager saw remarkable achievements, including winning the Executive of the Year award in ’95 and making key acquisitions of basketball icons such as Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, and Phil Jackson between ’96 and ’00.
