Jason Kelce may now include “wrestler” on his ever-growing resume.

On Saturday, April 6, the recently retired Philadelphia Eagles player made a surprise appearance in Rey Mysterio and Andrade’s WrestleMania 40 bout against Dominik Mysterio, Rey’s son, and Santos Escobar.

Jason Kelce played for the Eagles his entire NFL career.

During the heated encounter, Rey and Andrade received assistance from two mysterious masked luchadors who hopped the ropes to join the fight.

“Who the hell… look at the size of these guys!” one announcer exclaimed during the WWE broadcast.

“Those look like legends to me!” another responded.

One of the men snatched a metal folding chair from Dominik’s hands, while the other masked man pushed him into the ring’s corner from the outside, then hurled him into the center. This set up an ideal conclusion for Rey, who hurled himself on top of Escobar to secure the victory.

After the speaker pronounced Rey and Andrade winners, the two masked men revealed their identities: Kelce, 36, and 33-year-old Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson.

WrestleMania 40 spectators were seen cheering for Kelce and Johnson, especially because the two-night event is being held at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, home of the Eagles.

“So this all brings us to today, where I announce that I am retiring,” Kelce said through tears, about 40 minutes into his long statement. “Where I announce I am retiring from the NFL after 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and today, I must admit, I am officially overrated, vastly overrated.”
