As the NBA regular season comes to an end, the Nuggets are struggling. Nikola Jokic was seen with a taped-up right hand during the Nuggets’ game against the Timberwolves.

Jokic was listed as suffering lower back soreness and left hip irritation on the Denver injury report prior to the game, indicating that this is a recent condition. Throughout the game, Jokic’s wrist was re-taped multiple times.

“I was surprised he played tonight, to be honest,” Malone said of Jokic.

“His wrist is causing him a lot of grief. As we all know, Nikola is the type of man that plays through a lot of situations that most people wouldn’t.”

Unfortunately, Jokic’s right hand is his shooting hand. He also made a few inaccurate passes and appeared off all night. Despite this, Jokic still led the squad with 32 points.

“Hopefully it’s going to be a little bit better, just so I don’t feel it every time when I shoot,” Jokic told reporters. “But it is good. I’m used to dealing with pain. It’s really normal for me.”

Even though the Nuggets are hobbling to the finish line in the regular season, Malone remains confident that if the club can get healthy, they can beat anyone.

“I have complete confidence that this group, regardless of seed, can beat anybody anywhere when we’re healthy,” he stated. “… “I want to return to playing 48 minutes of Denver Nuggets basketball.”
