Kyrie Irving, the Dallas Mavericks’ star, is one game and one win away from receiving a $1 million bonus for performance incentives.
The 49-30 Mavericks have already secured a playoff spot.
However, one more win could result in a large paycheck for one of the team’s top players.
According to NBA reporter Marc Stein, Irving is eligible for a $1 million incentive if the 49-30 Mavericks win one of their three final games and Irving plays in one of them.
It is part of an incentive plan Irving committed to when he inked a three-year, $120 million contract in July of last year.
Kyrie Irving may earn $1 million if he plays in one more game and the Mavs win it.
Irving is second on the team in points, steals, and assists—all behind Luka Doncic.
Irving has averaged 25.6 points over 57 games, ranking second on the club behind Luka Doncic.
He also ranks second on the club in assists (5.2) and steals (1.3) per game, trailing only Doncic.
Irving is likely to play Wednesday night when the Mavericks face the Miami Heat.
If that does not result in a victory, he has games against the Detroit Pistons and the Oklahoma City Thunder to try to win.
