Nike plans to bring additional vintage footwear made in the Kobe Bryant style, marking the first time fans will see these since 2013. Nike plans to relaunch the Nike Kobe 8 in its well-known ‘Venice Beach’ color scheme among other upcoming Protro products in 2024. It had been reported for months that these will be re-released, but now we have an actual look. Visit our Sneakers news page for more information on current events and forthcoming releases.
The Nike Kobe 8 is the eighth iteration of Kobe’s footwear series, released in 2013. Bryant averaged 27.3 points, 6.0 assists, and 5.6 rebounds that season as he sought his fifteenth career All-Star selection. The Kobe 8, with its stylish form and brilliant color palette, was a huge success. As with the last iteration, Nike will stick to the original specifications for this edition.
The Nike Kobe 8 ‘Venice Beach’, which was near the Staples Center at the time, pays homage to the town and its beach. The shoe’s distinctive ocean views are complemented by its blue midsole and TPU plate, both of which bear Bryant’s autograph. The shoe uppers are designed to resemble the graffiti that adorns the famous promenade, with vibrant tie-dye hues that accurately reflect the vibe of the area. With a California orange inner this shoe is undoubtedly excellent for summer.
Overall, this is an exciting colorway to see make its debut, and like prior releases, these should sell out quickly. These goods have sold for more than $500 on the secondary market, so fans are thrilled to have another opportunity to purchase them at retail.
Spectators can expect these to become available on April 13, 2024, for $180. As with previous Nike Kobe launches, complete men’s sizes should be available through the Nike SNKRS app. Set your alarms, as this is an opportunity not to be missed.
