Travis Kelce has got his first television presenting gig, hosting the game show Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?
The American football player, who gained popularity after dating Taylor Swift last year, plays for the Kansas City Chiefs and helped them win the Super Bowl for the second consecutive year in February.

Their high-profile relationship has been credited with bringing the NFL a slew of new fans and creating a buzz whenever they’re seen together, like on their recent date night at the Coachella Music Festival.
The Prime Video production is a spin-off of the popular US game show Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? which premiered on Fox in 2007 and was hosted by comedian Jeff Foxworthy.
It was later revived by Nickelodeon in 2019, led by action hero John Cena, and generated a board game and a book.
In the United Kingdom, the show was renamed Are You Smarter Than A Ten-Year-Old? and was first hosted by Noel Edmonds, then Dick and Dom.
In Kelce’s new spin-off of the show, one adult competitor will be given 11 elementary-level questions to ask a classroom of celebrities for assistance answering.

Taylor Swift music is ‘back on TikTok’ despite the app’s public disagreement with the singer’s record label.
Filming for the 20-episode series is already complete.

‘The Ultimate Class Clown’
Kelce stated in a statement that he grew up watching game shows and is “excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons”.
He went on to say, “The first program was a huge hit, so bringing a fresh format with everyone’s favorite celebs to the screen will undoubtedly be entertaining.
“I’m just happy to be on the hosting side of the equation here and excited to see how these famous faces keep up.”
The original series co-creator Barry Poznick dubbed Kelce “the ultimate class clown,” adding that “replacing the kids with celebrities gives us more laughs and surprises, like a roast, as contestants cheat off their famous classmates”.
Kelce graduated from the University of Cincinnati earlier this month, 12 years after completing his course.
According to The Cincinnati Inquirer, he will finish his remaining credit hours in 2022 and get his degree in interdisciplinary studies.
Are You Smarter than a Celebrity? This is not Kelce’s first television job. He appeared in his own dating competition show, Catching Kelce, for E! in 2016, and hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live last year.
He’s also a producer for the upcoming documentary King Pleasure, which is about American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.
