Spencer Dinwiddie bought a $7 million mansion to commemorate the birth of his second child

Spencer Dinwiddie is still winning off the court, despite the fact that his Dallas Mavericks were eliminated from the NBA playoffs this season after losing Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals to the Golden State Warriors. The 6’5″ guard recently closed a $26 million funding round for his Los Angeles-based cryptocurrency business Calaxy and signed a three-year, $54 million contract.

According to Dirt, he has also purchased a brand-new, modern Craftsman-style mansion in a gated community of only 26 homes in an integrated area between Malibu and Calabasas.

The house, which had been listed for $7.7 million in December, was eventually reduced to $7.2 million and sold to the 29-year-old Los Angeles native for $6.9 million.

Dinwiddie’s recently purchased estate is nestled away along a lengthy gated driveway on 1.4 acres of promontory land. According to the description, the dark brown and white-trimmed building was built in 2021 by “one of the most experienced and meticulous builders in Southern California.” It contains a four-car garage on each side of the motorcourt.

Inside, the 6,400 square feet of living space with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms are adorned with high ceilings, red oak parquet flooring, and Italian lighting. There are various balconies and patios that provide unbroken views of the Santa Monica Mountains from both indoor and outdoor locations.

A wooden front entrance with a stone-columned portico above it illuminated by gas lighting leads to an entryway with a wrought-iron staircase that winds around. From there, a wood-beam ceiling crowns the living space, which has a wet bar with wine storage and a stone fireplace that reaches the ceiling.

A formal dining room and a cozy family area by the fireplace are two further attractions. A casual dining space leads to the exquisite gourmet kitchen, which features a big eat-in island, a butcher-block island, and top Gaggenau appliances. Pocketing glass doors provide entrance to a beautiful patio with a fireplace and space for al fresco dining.

An office/media area is placed on the main floor. The upstairs master suite is almost 1,000 square feet and includes a walk-in closet, a sitting area, a balcony, a fireplace, and a luxury bathroom with twin vanities, a two-person shower, a soaking tub, and a separate makeup area. This floor also includes a den and four additional ensuite bedrooms.

The exclusive resort-like grounds have an infinity-edge pool and Jacuzzi, an outdoor kitchen, and a fire-pit conversation area with steps leading to a gazebo. For good measure, a Crestron smart-home system is provided.
