According to the Los Angeles Times, NBA All-Star Anthony Davis has sold his Westlake Village, CA, home for $6.6 million. The Los Angeles Lakers center incurred a loss on the property, as it was previously sold in 2018 for $7,479,000.
Davis acquired the residence during his tenure with the New Orleans Pelicans and attempted to sell it this spring for just under $8 million. However, after reducing the price to $7.5 million in October, it eventually sold at a lower amount at the end of the year.
Situated in the guard-gated North Ranch Country Club Estates, the expansive property spans 15,815 square feet and features five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and two half-bathrooms. Built in 1996, the contemporary Mediterranean-style home has undergone expansions and remodels over time.
The house is designed with a basketball star in mind and includes a full indoor court and sports gym. The entryway is a grand, two-story space, and the floor plan encompasses formal living and dining rooms. The remodeled kitchen is equipped with granite counters, double islands, and a pantry, adjacent to a breakfast nook. The sizable master bedroom boasts a fireplace, en suite bathroom, and walk-in closet.
Additional highlights of the property include a home theater, office, recreation room, wine cellar, and a separate guesthouse. The 2.33-acre grounds feature an infinity-edge pool with dual slides, water features, and a spa. The outdoor amenities continue with a covered kitchen, manicured turf, sundecks, and a sunken trampoline.
The home is equipped with outdoor security cameras, smart home technology, solar panels, and has a four-car garage.
Despite selling his Westlake Village property, Davis still has a place to call home. He had been renting a luxurious mansion in Bel-Air for $50,000 per month. The six-bedroom estate, located in a gated community, offers a gourmet kitchen, gym, pool, and a basketball court, which aligns with Davis’ preferences.
Anthony Davis, originally from Chicago, was drafted by the New Orleans Hornets (now Pelicans) in 2012. The seven-time All-Star and 2017 All-Star Game MVP joined the Lakers in 2019 and played a significant role in securing the NBA championship for the team in 2020.
