Travis Kelce ‘called in favors’ for his Kelce Jam music festival lineup in Kansas City next weekend, which will feature Lil Wayne and Diplo

Travis Kelce personally chose the lineup for his ‘Kelce Jam’ music event in Kansas City next weekend, and it appears he even called in some favors to get Lil Wayne and Diplo at the top of the ticket.

The three-time Super Bowl winner will headline the second edition of his festival on Saturday in Kansas City, with a massive lineup and an estimated 20,000 attendees.

Two of Kelce’s food partners for the event, Medium Rare creators Joe Silberzweig and Adam Richman, have complimented the Chiefs player for his efforts to make the event happen.

‘Travis is curating the lineup,’ Richman told Chiefs Wire. ‘These were names he sought after, and he knew they were not just his favorites, but also had a strong feel for the city.

Kelce has been praised for the efforts he has put in preparation of his big day on Saturday.

Kelce reportedly has a $15 million budget to host more ‘Kelce Jam’ performances in the future.

Things would be excellent names for him to bring to Kansas City, and he wants to merge hip-hop and techno music. And I think Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, and Diplo did an excellent job balancing the electronic aspect.

‘He has his finger on the city’s pulse and can call in favors against legends who would not have appeared otherwise. I don’t believe Lil Wayne has been in Kansas City in quite some time. (He) may not have arrived, but when Travis Kelce calls, you respond.

‘Things would be great names for him to bring the KC, and he wants to bring a mix of hip-hop and electronic music. And I think we did a good balancing act by Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, and Diplo on the electronic side.

‘That’s proven here, with Lil Wayne being such an iconic legend coming and showing out for ‘Kelce Jam’ because of his and Travis’ relationship.’

Silberzweig added: ‘What was important for Travis is making this festival feel like it’s for everyone and that younger, old, moving families want to come out.

‘No matter what your tastes are, this festival is for the masses. This is for the people of KC. They get started at $49, And the musical lineup speaks to that, right? ‘We have some local DJs opening and building throughout the evening with our headliners.’

As well as Lil Wayne and Diplo, 2 Chainz, Irie and E-V are also scheduled to perform. Tickets, which start at $50, are still available at the time of writing.

It has been reported that next year, Kelce will take the festival across the United States with a string of dates in cities from Los Angeles to Miami. Last year, Kelce had Machine Gun Kelly headline the event.

He apparently has a $15million budget to stage shows in future, according to The Sun.

At present, Kelce is in Paris, where he attended girlfriend Taylor Swift’s latest show on her Eras Tour.

Swift definitely won’t be at Kelce Jam this weekend – the date clashes with her show in Stockholm, Sweden.
