Tatum was born on March 3, 1998, and Beal was born on June 28, 1993, but the athletes were reared in St. Louis, Missouri, despite their five-year age difference. Tatum had even had Beal watch him as a youngster. Though not concurrently, they both attended Chaminade College Prep, the same high school.

Fascinatingly, Tatum developed his exceptional basketball abilities while playing for Beal’s AAU squad. Their paths eventually brought them to the NBA, but they did it on separate schedules. After high school, Beal enrolled at the University of Florida, where he made his NBA debut in 2012. On the flip side, Tatum was selected in the 2017 NBA Draft and attended Duke University following his high school career.

Even though Bradley Beal and Jayson Tatum joined the league in 2012 and 2017, respectively, they didn’t get the chance to play together until 2021. Kevin Durant picked both guys for his team in the 2021 NBA All-Star Game, an event they will always remember. Beal scored 31 points in 31 minutes, compared to Tatum’s 21 points in 17 minutes.

Tatum highlighted their strong relationship while talking about the event, stating, “That’s my brother forever.” To be able to start off on the same floor as him was really amazing and different. He conveyed their joy and enthusiasm while highlighting how crucial it is for the St. Louis boys to remain united.

Tatum said prior to the game that everyone is aware of their close bond and shared past. “It doesn’t get any better than that,” he remarked, “two guys from the same high school, same neighborhood, kind of grew up together, starting in the St. Louis All-Star game.” Seeing their favorite players achieve their goals made the fans very happy.

Bradley Beal and Jayson Tatum both talk highly of one another and acknowledge the other’s effect on their respective successful careers. Tatum sent Beal a video message in 2022 in which he thanked him and acknowledged his own accomplishments. Beal was moved by this message as he thought back on Tatum’s accomplished career. He acknowledged the influence his older brother had on him and was grateful for the acknowledgement.

Bradley Beal and Jayson Tatum have a friendship that includes their kids as well. Jayson Christopher Tatum Jr., the son of Tatum, and Bradley Beal II and Braylen Beal, the children of Beal, get along well. The Suns star’s wife, Kamiah Adams-Beal, posted a cute photo of them with Draymond Green and Damian Lillard’s kids. She said she hoped they would replicate the image in 20 years, which would stand for the future. Fans greeted this message with love and blessings after finding it to be uplifting.
