Six-year-old kid Deuce is ‘starting to fall in love’ with basketball, according to NBA star Jayson Tatum

There are other basketball players in the home besides Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics. Jayson “Deuce” Christopher Tatum Jr., his 6-year-old son, is prepared to carry on his famous father’s legacy.

“He just started playing basketball on the organized team,” Tatum only speaks to PEOPLE in regards to his recent role as Coach’s ambassador. It appears that he is becoming genuinely enamored with the game. Tatum said that Deuce also enjoys Spider-Man, proving that he is a creature of habit.Dressed in Celtics colors or a scaled-down imitation of his father’s jersey, Deuce will cheer on the Boston team and toss the basketball about, despite its size being equal to his own. Tatum tells PEOPLE that, in keeping with his elegant father, Deuce even chooses his own attire for game days.”His favorite thing is to look in the mirror and be like, ‘Daddy, look, I’m fresh-fresh,'” Tatum explained. “Now that he is older, he says that. His character is beginning to develop. He told PEOPLE that he believes the campaign’s theme, “Courage to Be Real,” should be applied to all aspects of his daily life, regardless of the task at hand. He is an ambassador for the company.
