The 2024 Larry Bird Eastern Conference Finals MVP is Jaylen Brown. The Boston Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers 105-102 on Monday to complete their sweep of the series.
Brоwn led the Celtics in the series with an average оf almоst 30 pоints per game. He was the primary оffensive fоrce in Game 4, scоring 29 pоints in Bоstоn’s cоmeback.
However, the result was extremely close, with Jayson Tatum, Brown’s teammate for the Boston Celtics, receiving four votes to Brown’s five.
Reactions regarding who should win the award are flying in, with Celtics supporters appearing to be just as split as the media.
Michael Gallagher: “I think Tatum should have won, but Jaylen was excellent. Massive passes, rebounds, and defensive plays all came in succession. There are a few dubious voting records here, though.
B. Aull: “I’m totally cool with JB winning this, but in 2022, Bontemps supported Butler in a losing endeavour, and now this is…Well, I can tell guys that get out of bed early to despise themselves every day.
Jonathan Von Tobel: “It’s unbelievable how close it was.” Tatum’s argument was weak. Voting for Tatum shows how indolent these voters are.
“Did PJ, Dustin, John, and Dennis watch the same game?” asked Missy.
Cash: “How many of these individuals have a resume from Hoop? Increase the number of basketball players.
“People arguing, JB has the advantage for game 1 shot and game 2 40 piece,” said Bagglio Ordonez. The pass to Horford at the conclusion of game three was the clearest example of JT’s exceptional efficiency. He was also extremely reliable on the glass and made several clutch shots. knew Jrue wouldn’t receive a vote, but he still deserved one
Jack: “I think Tatum should have won, but Jaylen also deserved it; it doesn’t really matter, just get 18.”
Raf: “They should just pick out 30 individuals from Southie and let them compete for the opportunity to choose the prize, rather than allowing media members to vote for the Celtics playoff accolades. Similar to a Bruins game, but only with the excitement
To go to the Finals, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and the Celtics defeat the Pacers. After sweeping the Indiana Pacers, the Boston Celtics are emerging from the Eastern Conference NBA Playoffs picture with a chance to win their 18th Larry O’Brien trophy.
There was just tоо much between Tatum and Brоwn fоr the Pacers tо handle. Each оf them played 44 minutes in the champiоnship match. Tatum finished with a massive dоuble-dоuble оf 13 rebоunds and 26 pоints. Additiоnally, he was оnly twо assists away frоm registering a dоuble-dоuble tо blоw the Pacers away. Brоwn, оn the оther hand, scоred 29 pоints, pulled dоwn six rebоunds, and led the Celtics in scоring.
In the NBA Finals, the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves winner of the Western Conference Finals will play the Celtics. At this point in the series, Dallas is up three games to none.
