Luka Doncic shares emotional family moment before game after showing up in ‘apocalypse-proof’ $200,000 Jeep

MAVERICKS star Luka Doncic has taken time off for family before his next game against the Washington Wizards.

The Slovenian guard, 23, dominated the boards with 15 rebounds and 41 points in Tuesday’s game in Dallas.

But ultimately the Mavs came up short as they fell to a 127-126 defeat, leaving them 25-24 on the NBA regular season.

Last week, Doncic had stunned fans by turning up to a game in a $200,000 “Apocolypse-proof” Jeep.

However, it was a heartfelt chat he had with his family prior to the Wizards’ game that really got fans talking.

In a video posted by Dallas, Doncic seated his father Sasa in premium courtside seats at the American Airlines Centre.

Sasa was accompanied by two young girls, one of whom is believed to be Doncic’s half-sister Tijana and the other his cousin.

The three-time All-Star exchanged a handshake with his father before high-fiving the excited girls.

The lovely video was captioned by the Mavericks’ official Twitter account: “Family over everything.”

Fans were thrilled to see their favourite player prioritise family over the big game.

One wrote: “Treating Lukas dad like a king.”

Another added: “Slovenija proud.”

While a third joked: “Sisters gonna be lethal in the WNBA.”

Doncic made news last week when he arrived at a game against the Atlanta Hawks with his latest purchase.

He arrived at the tournament in a spectacular $200,000 Apocalypse Hellfire, a massively customised Jeep Gladiator.

The insane automobile has a three-part Kevlar protective coating, a quarter-inch thick steel front bumper, and a 9,500-pound winch.

Under the hood, a 6.2-liter V8 engine produces 500 horsepower.

Doncic once again sparked the Mavericks’ offence against the Wizards, dominating the stat line.

However, even another 40-plus performance was insufficient to prevent Dallas from falling to their seventh defeat in nine games.
