The recent release of items from a joint collection between Liverpool Football Club and NBA superstar LeBron James has validated long-held rumors.

LeBron James has long been involved with Liverpool, serving as a passionate supporter and minority shareholder since 2011. The collection, which includes a special edition shirt and Air Max 1 trainers, is the product of Nike’s marketing prowess and global influence, which shifted the Liverpool contract away from New Balance.

The shirt worn by LeBron James has a black foundation with red pinstripes and displays the club’s motto “YNWA” (You’ll Never Walk Alone) and LeBron’s “SFG” (Strive For Greatness).

The LFC crest and Nike Swoosh are also prominent, and LeBron’s logo is featured in the sponsor space.

The Air Max 1 trainers include dual branding and a color scheme similar to the previously launched LFC x LeBron 9 Low footwear.
