Aaron Gordon paid honour to his late brother Drew on Instagram. He recently got a new tattoo honouring his late brother Drew Gordon. Drew died in a car accident in Portland at the young age of 31.
The entire Gordon family has been devastated by this loss, but Aaron Gordon wanted to remind everyone how much he loved his late brother and will always remember him.
Drew Gordon, like his younger brother Aaron, played basketball. He made brief NBA games with the Nets and 76ers, but he found much of his success in Europe, particularly France and Latvia. Aaron was motivated by his brother’s professional basketball career and decided to follow in his footsteps.
Aaron Gordon fared better in the NBA than his brother, earning a lottery choice in the 2014 draft and spending seven seasons with the Magic. He was eventually traded to the Denver Nuggets in 2021, where he became a key member of the starting lineup and even helped the team win the NBA championship in 2023.
Aaron Gordon and the rest of his family will undoubtedly experience emotional problems in the following months as they seek to recover from such a devastating loss. Drew would have been a mentor to his younger brother, and his absence would have been tough for Aaron to adjust to.
Gordon will be able to focus on himself and his family for the time being, which should and will be his primary concern. Basketball is undoubtedly taking a back seat for the time being.
