Nikola Jokić and Bogdan Bogdanović prepare for the Olympic Games, where they will both compete. This weekend, friends from the national team’s previous deeds and from the NBA league are in Sombor, Nikola’s hometown, to watch horse races at the local hippodrome.
Nikola Jokić spent the previous Sunday resting with his horses at races in Scandinavia, and was photographed with friends and relatives on Tara, resting while rafting. Svetislav Kari Pešić’s team is preparing for the world’s biggest basketball competition, where Serbia will have an incredibly powerful team lead by Jokić and Bogdanović.
Jokić is known for bringing friends to horse races in Sombor. Last year, he was in the stands alongside American NBA standout and Denver teammate Eron Gordon. It is also known that the whole Denver delegation, led by coach Michael Malone, team owners, and operatives, traveled to Sombor the year prior to present Nikola with the MVP award.
