Pictures of committed fans decked out in the team’s recognisable blue and green hues, boldly displaying Mavericks flags, jerseys, and other gear abound on social media. From neighbourhood watch events to packed watch groups at nearby taverns and restaurants, the basketball fans of the city have generated an exciting and close environment. With skyscrapers lit in the Mavericks’ trademark colours, even the Dallas skyline has entered the action. This loyal following is obviously doing all in their ability to will their team to triumph over the tough Celtics team. As the city waits impatiently for the result of this hard-fought championship series, the enthusiasm and team spirit emanating from Mavericks supporters is amazing.
