Serbia’s Belgrade (AP) — After he was added to Serbia’s 16-man preliminary squad for the 2017 Paris Olympics on Monday, superstar Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets put an end to rumours that he will miss the basketball competition.
Due to his lengthy NBA seasons, the three-time NBA MVP has previously missed a number of significant international competitions.
However, Jokic called off the current NBA season sooner than anticipated following the Dallas Mavericks’ elimination of the previous year’s champions in the postseason. The past three weeks, he and his brothers went rafting.
The list also includes Charlotte Hornets guard Vasilije Micic, Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic, Atlanta Hawks shooter Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Hornets forward Aleksej Pokusevski, which was revealed by Serbian coach Svetislav Pesic.
On July 28, Serbia will take on the United States in its Olympic tournament debut.
