Nikola Jokić, a basketball standout, has been nominated to Serbia’s preliminary squad for the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.
The Denver Nuggets centre is part of the 16-player roster published this week, with final squads to be confirmed closer to the tournament’s start.
Jokić last competed in the Olympic Games at Rio 2016, when he earned silver with Serbia after losing to the US in the men’s final. The team, which includes NBA players such as Bogdan Bogdanović of the Atlanta Hawks and Vasilije Micić of the Charlotte Hawks, aims to achieve even more success in Paris 2024.
