L.A. Lakers’ Rui Hachimura Snags Stunning $7.25 Million Encino, California Estate

Rui Hachimura, a forward now with the Los Angeles Lakers, has made a significant real estate investment in Encino, California, purchasing a modern mansion for $7,250,000. The property spans over 7,300 square feet and boasts six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms.

Having signed a lucrative three-year, $51 million contract with the Lakers last summer, Hachimura appears to be enjoying his newfound financial resources. The contemporary home, despite being described as a modern farmhouse, showcases a sleek design with a black exterior and ample glass to maximize natural light typical of Southern California homes.

Inside, the residence features luxurious materials such as Douglas fir, white oak, natural stone, and a blend of glass and metal finishes. Among its amenities are a personal gym, screening room, office, home bar, and an exceptionally well-appointed kitchen with two islands and a butler’s pantry.

The master suite includes elegant touches like a sizable balcony, walk-in closets, a large double shower, and a soaking tub. Outside, the property offers a secluded garden with olive and cypress trees, alongside a pool, Jacuzzi, cabana, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and various lounging areas. Notably, the house also includes an ADU (accessory dwelling unit) with its own living room and kitchenette.

Hachimura, who made history as the first Japanese national selected in the first round of the NBA draft, initially joined the Washington Wizards in 2019 and garnered acclaim, including winning the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year award in his debut season. In January 2023, he was traded to the Lakers, marking a new chapter in his NBA career.
