The 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs player appeared moved as he watched Swift, 34, perform a mashup of “Mary’s Song,” “So High School,” and “Everything Has Changed” at her final show in Amsterdam on Saturday, July 6 at the Johan Cruijff Arena, wiping his face several times during the performance.

A fan account on X (previously Twitter) released a video of Kelce standing in the stands recording his girlfriend performing on his phone before swaying slowly to Swift’s mashup. At one point, as Swift performed the romantic lyrics from “Everything Has Changed”: “Cause all I know is we said, “Hello”/ And your eyes look like comin’ home/ All I know is a simple name/And everything has changed,” the tight end was seen wiping his face and near his tears.

Kelce then clapped his hands above his head and continued to watch Swift perform.

Seconds later, Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany Mahomes, who had also attended the singer’s final gig in Amsterdam with her husband, approached Kelce and looked to check on him as he wiped his cheeks and eyes again.

Taylor Swift Performs ‘Mary’s Song’ for the First Time in 16 Years, with Sweet Lyrical Nod to Travis Kelce in Amsterdam.

Towards the end of the mashup, as Swift sung the concluding words to her 2006 song “Mary’s Song”: “I’ll by 87, you’ll be 89 / I’ll still look at you like the stars that shine / In the sky, oh my my my,” Kelce clapped with his arms up above his head again while fans in the arena cheered loudly.

The words of “Mary’s Song” have taken on new meaning after the singer and Kelce began dating, as his team jersey number is 87, and both Kelce and Swift were born in 1989. Of course, “So High School” is thought to be about Swift’s connection with the tight end, thus the mashup itself appeared to be a reference to her lover.

Following the final show in Amsterdam, Kelce and Swift, who ignited dating rumours in September 2023 and confirmed their romance in October 2023, were observed exiting the arena together for the second time after doing so the night before.

Travis Kelce is joined by Patrick and Brittany Mahomes on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Amsterdam.

A concertgoer recorded a video on TikTok of the couple emerging from backstage, with Swift waving at fans in the stands and Kelce raising his hands in the air, pumping up the crowd before sticking out his hand for his girlfriend to take. The couple then exchanged loving looks before exiting the arena together.

Swift paid respect to Kelce again during her second performance in Amsterdam on Friday, July 5, by performing her archer posture, which is the NFL star’s characteristic pose. Swift also modified the lyrics from “Karma” to “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs,” as she often does when Kelce attends her shows. Indeed, she changed the lyric for “Karma” again for the July 6 show.

Kelce has been accompanying Swift on many of her recent European gigs, notably in Dublin, Ireland, and London, where he stunned fans by performing onstage with the singer for the first time at Wembley Stadium.
