Travis attended Taylor’s Eras Tour at Arrowhead a year ago, on July 8, 2024, with a friendship bracelet and a dream.
Despite sitting in the stands rather than on the pitch at his home stadium, Travis clung to the notion of getting up close and personal with the music superstar. He crafted a friendship bracelet in honour of a lyric from her song ‘You’re On Your Own, Kid,’ as is customary for the Swifties on tour. Except his came with a twist: his phone number.
The NFL shared a video of Travis sewing friendship bracelets for his Tight End University approximately a week before the event, indicating that he had been planning it.
However, his dreams were disappointed when he found Taylor doesn’t meet anyone before the show in order to spare her vocal chords for the marathon of songs she sings.
‘I was unhappy that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,’ Kelce explained in a July episode of his New Heights podcast, which he cohosts with his brother, Jason Kelce. ‘So I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get to give her one of the bracelets I made for her.’
He continued, ‘She doesn’t meet anyone, or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personally.’
Fortunately for Travis, Taylor – or someone in her camp – took pity on him and his attempts, and the two are claimed to have started dating but kept their developing romance a secret.

In early September, as NFL broadcasters made numerous Taylor-related puns during Travis’ games, the tight end remained quiet, refusing to answer queries about his personal life.
It soared from 0 to 100, however, when the singer stole the show in her NFL debut later that month.
Taylor confessed in an interview with TIME Magazine in December that they only went public with their romance after dating for a while behind the scenes.
“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was as metal as hell,” she explained.
