The Denver Nuggets’ grand plan to win two NBA championships in three seasons apparently includes eventually signing Russell Westbrook. Unfortunately for three-time MVP Nikola Jokic, Westbrook is still in a holding pattern with the Los Angeles Clippers.

That is not to say that the great point guard cannot spend the rest of his offseason hanging out with other Serbian elite athletes.

As Novak Djokovic prepares for a quarterfinal match at Wimbledon 2024, he is joined by a surprise guest: Westbrook, who appears to have come to watch some world-class tennis. It’s a little too fortunate that Westbrook occurred to meet Djokovic, one of Jokic’s closest friends, while the Nuggets were recruiting him in the background.

In all honesty, Westbrook’s meeting with Djokovic just before joining Jokic’s Nuggets is most likely unrelated. It’s just so funny that Westbrook would hang out with another player with the moniker “Joker” as the Nuggets wait for him to become available.
