Jaylen Brown has put $4.75 million up for sale as the asking price for his Boston penthouse.
The description describes the property as a ‘1-of-1 open concept 3-bedroom home’ with exposed brick walls, factory type windows, and 12-foot high wood-beam ceilings. It is located in the premium Seaport district. Situated at the crossroads of Melcher and Necco Streets, the penthouse boasts a generously sized living room and a fully functional kitchen that includes an eat-in island and premium appliances.
One of the three “very large” bedrooms is the main suite, which has “spacious walk-in closets, a double vanity, and a walk-in shower.” Along with a private roof deck measuring more than 400 square feet, other features of the condo include an in-unit washing and dryer, a powder room, and a complete bathroom.
“A home for champions,” according to George and Manny Sarkis of The Sarkis Team at Douglas Elliman, is how they characterize the unit.
Because of this, it is extremely appropriate for the departing owner Brown, who is currently the MVP of the NBA Finals after leading the Celtics to victory in five games this season.
However, the player who attended Cal for his college career is inexplicably absent from the Team USA Olympic Basketball roster.
Some people anticipated that the team would include the reigning NBA Finals MVP, Kawhi Leonard, after he withdrew from the team last week.
However, after Boston Celtics teammate Derrick White was selected ahead of him, Brown told CLNS reporter Bobby Manning that he believes Nike, the shoe company, played a role in keeping him off the team.
“Yes, without a doubt.” That will come with more stuff,’ Brown remarked. “I’m not going to comment on it as of yet.”
Considering his recent achievements, Brown—who is among the greatest players in the world—may be the biggest snub on the team.
But Brown has also been in the news Tuesday after he was seen sitting courtside for an NBA Summer League game – where he was caught brutally saying Bronny James ‘isn’t a pro’.
Sitting with WNBA star Angel Reese and her Chicago Sky teammate (and Brown’s girlfriend) Kysre Gondrezick, Brown is seen leaning over to them and saying his feelings about LeBron James’ eldest son and Laker teammate.
Neither Reese or Gondrezick appear to disagree with Brown’s stance, with the Celtics star shaking his head in chagrin after saying his opinion.
Bronny James was selected No 55 overall by Los Angeles in last month’s NBA Draft, with a heavy influence from his father and their agent, Rich Paul, who reportedly called other teams telling them not to draft the former USC guard, or he would play overseas.
Bronny’s time in the NBA’s Summer League has not impressed, including a 0-for-15 mark from 3-point range since donning the yellow and purple.
After being caught on camera, Brown decided to walk back his comments on social media.
‘It’s a flex to have your son alongside you in the NBA it reflects greatness and longevity,’ Brown said. ‘Bronny has all the tools around him to be successful I look forward to watching his growth.’
